How It All Began: FRP’s First Game-Changing Project
Every great company starts with a defining moment. For FRP, that moment came in the early 2000s when we secured our first major project in the Transportation sector.
Starting with complete suites of 3D printed SLS interior components to verify the 3D CAD, then progressing to supplying multiple car sets of LH & RH A pillar and Cant Rail injection mouldings in PC-ABS material for the original Bentley Continental GT.
This used an innovative rapid tooling system which enabled both the A pillars & the >1m long Cant Rail mouldings to be tooled in just 3 weeks and injection moulded in production grade Bayblend T65 PC-ABS just 1 week later.
Today, as we celebrate 25 years, we look back on that project as a symbol of what makes FRP unique—innovation, agility, and a relentless drive to push boundaries.
