From Apprentice to Entrepreneur
Sharon’s (FD) father Colin Clark started his career at 16 as an Apprentice Engineer for Castrol and then moved through various hands-on roles in manufacturing. It soon became obvious selling was his thing, hence why he moved into the sales roles and more senior Accounts Manager role at CA Models.
Colin and Marie Clark’s Vision
Recognising the challenges of working remotely from Lincolnshire, Colin envisioned bringing the same excellence and innovation closer to home. This vision led to the creation of Fenland RP. The company’s name and iconic bird logo—born from the rare sighting of a golden oriole during a brainstorming session—symbolise a new chapter of growth and innovation.
Colin secured a supplier code with Bentley, which set FRP on its path to success. The company expanded from a small room beside a garage to larger facilities, eventually moving to the Wisbech offices due to continuous growth. Today, Sharon, now the Financial Director of FRP, continues to uphold the principles of quality and innovation that have driven the company forward.
24 years later, FRP remains a thriving, trusted partner in the industry, committed to delivering exceptional results.
